Crushtec Chronicle – Pilot Crushtec International and Innovexx establish new home in the mother city

We are delighted to announce that the joint venture between ourselves and Innovexx (Pty) Ltd has led to the establishment of a permanent sales, distribution and service hub to support our expanding customer base in the Western and Northern Cape provinces.

Innovexx has already started marketing our entire range of crushing and screening equipment together with our growing variety of ancillary equipment. This development has in one stroke provided the local industry with direct access to an internationally tried and tested stable of products, including Sandvik, TRIO, Edge Innovate and, of course, Pilot Modular and TwisterTrac.

Innovexx’s ability to promote and service our products is aided by its superb location in Cape Town’s Airport City Complex, boasting extensive office, warehouse and workshop facilities.

National sales manager Nicolan Govender comments that the development is a continuation of our decision to focus on a regional approach to enhancing our marketing and service offerings.

“When we established a full-time presence in KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape, we gained not only significant increases in market share but a greater understanding of our customers’ needs. The move to strengthen our presence in Cape Town and its surrounds is the logical application of a winning formula,” he says.

Innovex operations are already well under way and director Alessandro Scherf is committed to ensuring that his customers in the mother city and beyond get a feel of our legendary service experience.

Alessandro, who gained substantial experience working as a sales engineer at Pilot Crushtec International, agrees that service is the number one concern in a gruelling and competitive industry.

“Our first priority was to set up a comprehensive stockholding of critical parts and to install a response system that gets urgently-needed components on site as soon as possible.”

Alessandro takes a proactive approach to running the operation and often delivers parts personally, not only to provide rapid onsite solutions but to take advantage of every opportunity to make contact with customers.

Jacques Otto, our regional Western Province sales engineer, has moved to the Innovexx premises. The new operational infrastructure will provide Jacques with even greater support in responding to customer needs in regard to new products, components and service needs. Innovexx will, on the other hand, benefit from his encyclopaedic knowledge of local markets and the customers he so ably serves.
